About us
We are 3 white women who grew up together in Cambridge MA with values of social justice & equity at the heart of our culture.
Racial justice is central to our friendship & lifelong commitment to these values. Showing up as white women in coalition spaces & multi-cultural communities, we have developed a deep sense of self-awareness of our identity & how to engage effectively with others to make social change, for the benefit of all. Over the years, the message we have consistently heard from our Black, Brown & Indigenous friends & colleagues was to go get our people.
We created Beckys Anonymous in the summer of 2020 because we wanted to help sustain the momentum of the Black Lives Matter movement & all they have achieved. We see the critical role white women can play in the tipping point & we wanted to share a space that was supportive to our follow-through as abolitionists & agents of change.
We welcome all white women who are actively practicing antiracist values & looking for an opportunity to engage with others in community-based solutions.
